Clean Printer Heads Regularly

Most printers come with a set of tools for cleaning and aligning the heads.
Common wisdom suggest running these once/twice a month. We suggest to run this task if you have an inkjet printer

Keep Inside of Printer Clean

Keep the inside of the printer clean using tweezers and/or compressed air to clear out the debris and paper snips from inside your printer.

Keep the Print Head Clean

If the nozzle check indicates that a cleaning is need, or if the printer is completely clogged, clean the print heads. The process removes blockages in the nozzles. Run additional nozzle checks since sometimes cleaning must be performed more than once to be successful. Some printers have a deep cleaning option.

Print in Draft Mode (Save Ink)

In most cases you can use a lower quality (or "draft") mode that uses much less ink. With todays printers you will be amazed with "draft" mode quality of printing. Make sure you set your printer setting to print in "Draft" mode and change it to better printer quality anytime if you needed.

Here below step by step of changing printer setting:
Click Start->Printers and Faxes. "Right-click" your printer icon and select Printing Preferences. Select the Main settings tab, Paper or Print Quality tab (varies from model to model). Under Quality Settings, click Draft.You can switch back to high quality anytime when needed.

Print Faster and Cheaper

Speed up your printing and save money! You can trick an inkjet into speeding up, and save a few bucks in the process: Turn off the colour.
Printing in colours is slowing down the printer and wasting ink unless necessary.
When you do need printing in colour, simply turn on the colour option.

Photo: Let Photos Dry Thoroughly Before Storing

You may want to remove the photos as they come out of printer and lay them out to dry fully before stacking (This also reduces drying time).
Epson recommends letting photos dry for 24 hours before framing them.
